Product:  Continuous Asynchronous Replication
Company:  Troika Networks, Inc.
Type:  Software
Description:  Continuous Asynchronous Replication solutions offer an affordable, highly reliable method of heterogeneous data recovery and enterprise backup. Asynchronous replication provides the ability to migrate data between heterogeneous storage platforms, provides disaster recovery over any distance between any hosts and storage, allows for non-disruptive backup, and non-disruptive snapshot.

Asynchronous Replication works by taking a copy of every transaction on a SAN and replicating that to a remote site, on a continuous, rolling log. These updates are applied to a remote site asychronously, as updates arrive over an IP network, and do not require a total synchronization of writes to occur to the remote copy. Thie enables replication to happen over slower links, and has the added advantage of capturing a full timeline of modification to data for recovery at any time.
