ABSTRACT:
This second White Paper in OMG's MDA series points out that virtually every application that provides a Web Services interface to clients on the Internet (or a corporate intranet) via its front end must access legacy applications through other middleware interfaces via its back end in order to perform its work. Based on a technology-independent model of an application's business functionality and behavior, the MDA provides the best possible environment for the design and implementation of applications in this multi-middleware environment.
