ABSTRACT:
In today's dynamic business environment, a corporation's IT infrastructure is constantly changing. The explosive growth of the Internet and mobile workforces has created an additional challenge for IT organizations struggling to remain in compliance, secure, and under control. Understanding where the PC is, who has it, when it was last used, and what licensed and unlicensed software is loaded on it is nearly impossible. Without this knowledge, the company is at risk of being out of regulatory and/or software license compliance and exposed to potential security holes.
