ABSTRACT:
The current turbulent economic and regulatory environment is forcing enterprises to adapt to more rapid change in areas that once were quite stable. Price trends, product and service opportunities and obsolesce, regulation and the business rules associated with these change with speed not seen since the 1970s or even the 1930s. Those enterprises that prepare their IT departments to deal with the ongoing waves of economic and regulatory change will have a competitive advantage by offering greater value and responsiveness to customers. Key to achieving this advantage is a business rules management system (BRMS) which provides the ability for businesses to respond to change in hours or days, not weeks or months. Additionally, a BRMS helps keep track of and manage the changes required in IT application and SOA infrastructure to respond to these changes.

In this session, you will learn about the features, capabilities, and value offered by JBoss Enterprise Middleware in the management of business rules. We will introduce business rules management concepts and value, explore use cases, and dive deeper into the JBoss Enterprise business rules management technology - what it does and how it can help your business become more competitive.

Speaker: Pierre Fricke, Director Product Line Management
