ABSTRACT:
To deliver high-demand content to a widely dispersed group of internet users, a cache-based content delivery network (CDN) is the way to go. By storing duplicate content near user access points, this type of CDN reduces distance-imposed latency and jitter, which can disrupt video and audio quality. This paper also explains the distinct advantages of using a network-based CDN provider, who's responsible for the basic routing, troubleshooting, operations and network management at Layers 1-3.
